Synopsis: Set in 1818, Tennessee, a wealthy family is tormented by an unseen force. The father broke church law by charging an obscene amount of tax on a parcel of land sold to a neighbor. The neighbor, thought to be a witch, said that he and his daughter would suffer greatly for their injustice. From then on the daughter is continuously tormented by some evil force. Her school teacher, who she has the hots for, and has the hots for her, comes to stay with the family to help rationalize the strange goings-on. The mother and daughter figure out that something happened a while back that spawned the horrific events and stops it by killing her father.

Review: I was on my seat the entire movie and I believe that my cellar door hurts for no reason. I thought that the cinamatics were pretty good and the story was solid...but something inside me just didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. The acting was great and the movie overall wasn't bad in any respect...just...something. I think that I was itching for more of the story and I might get my wish because from the way the movie ended, we may be blessed with a sequel. Either way it was a good movie.

Rating: 19. I thought it was better than good but not as spectacular as I thought it was gonna be. I could safely say that it reminded me of an older, prissier version of The Exorcist (1973). But the acting was good and the story was good...personally I thought it could have been a little better. It just seemed rushed. Good movie though. (19of25).
