Synopsis: Ash is back! Again heading to the cabin with girlfriend Linda, they find the Necronomicon (The Book of the Dead). Like idiots the open the book and once they have read a little of it, you guessed it, it opens a portal. Ash gets something in his had that “went bad” and he cuts it off. Adding a chainsaw to the stub and a shotgun to the other hand he is ready to battle whatever is after him. However, Ash gets sucked into the black vortex and shot back to 14th century England. He has to battle quite a few obstacles on his way to get the Necronomicon and bring it back to the castle so King Arthur’s Merlin can send him home. Once he has the book all he has to do is say Klatu Verata Nictu. Which he can’t do and it unleashes the Army of the Deadites toward the necronomicon which is at the castle. Now they have to fight off the living dead to win the war and to send Ash back to his own time and the S-Mart he works at.

Review: This is one of my favorite movies of all time. Bruce Campbell is great. He is the ultimate B movie actor. This movie is hilarious. Movies that are in the horror genre need a break sometimes and Army of Darkness is just the medicine. There are actually two endings to this movie and both are good. The one in the film is great but the one on the bootleg copy (Don’t worry its legal, its just called bootleg because it has tons of extras on it). This is a sequel to Evil Dead 1 & 2.

Rating: I give this a 24. The cheesy acting and ridiculous plot is perfect. The fact that a guy that works for a pseudo K-Mart can go back in time with one hand with a chainsaw on it and save all humanity with being a warrior, blacksmith, and a sorcerer just proves that he is the Jack of all trades. Pun intended (Jack of All Trades was a TV show that Bruce Campbell did). It doesn’t get much more awesome than this cheesy horror movie. I absolutely recommend this film and if you can’t find it you are not looking hard enough. If you don’t see this one I may have to slap my brother. (24of25).

On a side note, how he missed doing this review is beyond me. Dude, I am very disappointed in you.
