Synopsis: Five friends attend the funeral of their friend Adam. During a tense conversation between them, we learn that the six of them were addicted to an online game known as Hellworld. A couple years later, all five show up at a Hellraiser Party; a party in which the invite comes from solving the puzzle box inside Hellworld. Not long after arriving things start to go horribly wrong. The host is not who he seems to be and no one at the party seems to care that these five friends are in dire trouble. Who will wake up from their nightmare and who will survive? (this is not a hard question people)

Review: Finally! The end of the Hellraiser series. I never thought I’d see the day. It has been a bumpy road and a winding trail but I have made it through almost unscathed. I do have to say that these movies are not to be taken lightly. Only a few have the capacity to be considered true Hellraiser movies…the rest can fade with time. I would suggest that if you are planning to see these movies…do so at your own risk. Boredom will overtake you.

I was not expecting anything in terms of storyline and I think that I was correct in doing so. As the movie progressed I thought it was gonna be just like the others; where someone is really in Hell and what we see is their own personal Hell. But that is not what happened here…no…they took a different route. They decided to make a mockery of the Hellraiser name by putting in this piece of shit! The host put them into a drug-induced dream state, buried them with a PVC pipe for air, and made open suggestions to them by cell phone. Wow! I almost hit my TV I was so pissed off. Nothing like a good slap in the face for Hellraiser fans. Damn!

The acting was sub-par…although Henriksen is awesome. The actors that played the five friends were nothing short of blah and the characters themselves were shallow and un-expandable. One thing that bothered me the most is that, when Chelsea is running in the woods, her scream is like a dying cat. There once was a time when a woman’s scream in a horror movie was an art…a passion. After seeing this bubbling debauchery, I am convinced that the art will die with Jamie Lee Curtis.

The gore was laughable at best. Nothing out of the ordinary…not like the first few Hellraisers. During the killing scenes, I found myself picking stuff out of my teeth instead of actually caring about the poorly done gore in this Hellraiser. These people should be ashamed of themselves. Clive Barker must be pissed!

Rating: Predictable. Boring. Unimaginative. 6. I think the only reason I gave it any rating at all, was because of two reasons. 1) The lead actress Katheryn Winnick is pretty hot and 2) The chick that mike was dancing with, Desiree Malonga, had some tig ol’ bitties. There were no droobs on this babe! Earlier in the flick yeah…but not her! I guess those are my only positive comments…just don’t bother with this one. If you wanna watch good Hellraiser movies, watch Hellraiser (1987), Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988), or Hellraiser: Bloodline (1996). (6of25).
