Synopsis: Jigsaw and his cohort are back once again to force people into appreciating their lives. A nurse is taken hostage to care for Jigsaw. Amanda, Jigsaw's second in command, fits the nurse with a nice big steel necklace...equipped with multiple shotgun shells pointing at her head set to go off if Jigsaw's heart stops. With Jigsaw's failing health, including brain swelling, it is a constant battle to keep him alive. All the while a man wakes up in a wooden crate and finds out, through Jigsaw's usual way, the tape recorder, that he is going to have to face a series of challenges if he ever wants to get out and save his family. Years ago his son was killed in a hit and run accident. Three major people were involved; an eyewitness who didn't stop to help, the judge that sentenced the driver to a minimal sentence, and the driver himself. He is to forgive and save these people before they are killed. Meanwhile, jealousy stirs within Amanda who feels that Jigsaw is favoring the nurse. She turns on them and pulls a gun on Jigsaw. The guy finally gets through all of the challenges and finds himself face to face with Jigsaw and a very shaky Amanda. The story immediately takes like four or five turns within a matter of minutes and everything from the first two movies including this one is set to light.

Review: This movie, from the start, made me cringe. And that's why I love horror movies! They totally made up for the lack of "devices" in the second one. With the judge drowning in the ground up pigs and that guy in "the rack," freakin' awesome! The flashbacks were terrific and the story went to an entirely new level. The mind behind Jigsaw and his plans should win a Chainsaw Award or something...something. The massive amount of creativity and the tying up of loose strings must have been a monumental task. While walking out of the theatre, with my wife of all people (love you honey!), I realized just how smoothly everything came together. I loved this movie.

Rating: 23. You know by now why I rate these movies so high, the reason it wasn't a 24 is because of the nudity...I'm not a queer but I could have done without that. The first two did very well without it. Either way, this movie was everything that a torture movie should be; creative, gory, fast paced, and above all...gory. See this movie...but not for the weak stomach. (23of25).

No, not really. That's why in certain circumstances, such as this one, it is understandable. I just don't prefer it.
