Review: Knowing nothing about this movie going into it, apart from it being a cult classic, I was actually pretty surprised. I wasn’t really expecting much, considering it’s a 70’s slasher (of sorts). I liked most of the movie; the story-line was not that bad and the concept, closely ripped from the original House of Wax (1953), was pretty good. You never knew who was who; kind of a thinker, in a way. The mannequins were the best part. However cheesy they may have seemed, I thought that it was awesome! It was the “amateur” feel that got me. Those damn things are creepy anyway…then add a psycho who can control them and make them come to life…that’s some scary shut! This was actually a pretty good movie and I would definitely recommend it.

Rating: 20. I loved how the movie got into the story right from the get-go. They wasted no time making it known that a killer who with psychokenesis was on the prowl. Apart from the lackluster killings, the movie held all the way through. Not a bad 70’s flick at all, but not a gory slasher…great though. (20of25).
