Synopsis: Carrie White is a shy and mousey, high school student who is learning to control a newly-found telekinetic ability. Her mother is a domineering, religious fanatic who brain-washed Carrie into believing that the world is out to get her. She starts to notice that her ability surfaces when she get angry. She ends up pissing off one of the popular girls and her and her boyfriend begin to plot against Carrie. Finally, one other girl tries to befriend her and gets one of the popular guys to ask her to the prom. After much coaxing, Carrie finally accepts. At the prom, she and her date end up having a great time. She starts to feel like a normal girl...until she and her date are named prom king and queen. On the stage, the pissed off popular girl and her boyfriend dump pig's blood all over Carrie. This sends her into a rage and she ends up killing most of her classmates in the gym. (Sorry, not the best description).

Review: This movie started off kinda slow, even with the whole shower incident. But the background was necessary for the story. I think it was essential for the viewer to understand just how nuts her mother was. The acting was great and the story was very unsettling. I loved this movie and think of it as a classic.

Rating: 21. Even though I loved this movie, it was kinda slow. There was just so much storyline it seemed to take up the whole movie. But on the other hand, it did not disappoint in any other way. Would for chure recommend to anyone. (21of25).
