Synopsis: A group of friends heading to their other friend's wedding end up stopping at a local bed and breakfast. All hell breaks loose after one guy, Johnny, is forced to climb in the window and accidentally opens a mystical box called the Kumon Thong. Soon the townsfolk start turning into a well choreographed, zombie horde! They attack a barn where everyone is partying and then they migrate to the bed and breakfast. Now that Johnny is the head zombie, he leads the rest of them in an all out assault against the four remaining survivors. Only the arcane knowledge, or dumb luck, of a drifter wandering through town can stop this zombie rampage. Who will survive and who will be added to the singing masses?

Review: Considered America's answer to Shaun of the Dead (2004), I was unimpressed at first. It was only until my brother (who has yet to submit his reviews for me) started ranting and raving about this flick did I give it a second thought. I think I ruined it, initially, cuz I watched it by myself. This is one of those movies that is best watched in a group of some sort. Now that I own the movie and enjoy it every time, I think it's safe to say this movie kicks so much ass it makes real zombies weep. The excessive amount and shear overkill of blood in this movie just added to my viewing pleasure. The acting was cheesy...but I think that was the point. Even the tag-line negates the fact that this is a legitimate horror movie (though I do love it so), "It’s like a bad horror movie, only worse." The plot was loose and the storyline seemed to fade after a while. But in the respect of this newly birthed genre, I would have to say that it did justice. It was well executed and brilliantly thought out. (whisper: *Still don't think it was as good as Shaun of the Dead (2004)...sorry*)

Rating: 23. I rate it this high because of its originality. The premise, the singing, and the dancing were just dandy and I couldn't have thought of anything better. It was something I had never seen before and that is what makes this movie so great. Not exactly scary, in any sense of the term, but the sense of impending doom was maintained throughout, however comically addressed. If you get the chance...don't rent this movie...BUY IT! Even though this genre has only about four movies or so, it tops my list of all-time funniest movies. Thanks bro! (23of25).
